STUDENTS APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Please read the separate
Application Procedure notes thoroughly.
Please do not dismiss them and then later find youve
missed something important. When you sign the application
form you are declaring that you have read and understood
the Application Procedure notes.
- Therefore if you photocopy
the Application Form, please make sure you also photocopy
the accompanying Application Procedure notes.
- Please complete the
Application Form yourself, though you may
need help when choosing the appropriate Group and
lectures. Please also send it yourself to the Course
Secretary and do not ask anyone else to do so. If
you are under 18 please ask your parents/guardian to
countersign the form and indicate the relationship.
- Cheques or postal orders
should be made payable to "Hereford Ringing
Course". A receipt will be sent if you are
accepted.
- There is no need to enclose a
stamped addressed envelope for our reply.
- The closing date for
applications is Thursday, 31st January. Under normal
circumstances we must receive your application by then,
accompanied by your deposit or the full fee. The balance
of your fee should be paid on the first day of the Course.
The Secretary will write to you about the second week of
February to tell you whether or not you have been
accepted. Your cheque will be returned if you are not
accepted.
CANCELLATIONS
- Precise numbers have to be
given to the College a month before the Course begins.
After they have been sent all bookings have to be paid
for.
- If weather conditions in your
own area or if illness either of yourself or of someone
in your family prevented you from coming then we should
still have to charge for everything you have booked. When
you sign the application form you are agreeing to this
condition. Please consider taking out your own holiday
insurance.
- If you do need to cancel,
please contact the Course Secretary on ( 01924 373905 (after Easter Day please call

- If we have to cancel the
course for any reason (e.g. a national emergency, or if
there were very severe weather conditions in
Herefordshire), your deposit will be returned. Please
phone the Secretary (

situation.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Please study both the map and
plan and on arrival go to the Ringing Course Reception
Desk in the main building.
- FIRE REGULATIONS: Will
residents ensure that they have read the notices posted
in hostels regarding fire regulations. Each hostel has a
designated fire warden who is also the master key holder.
Residents will be informed who this is on their invoice.
If the alarm sounds, residents must report to their fire
warden at the designated assembly point.
- Kettles, toasters or any
other similar appliances must not be taken out of the
kitchens. Any sort of smoke in the bedrooms will set off
the very sensitive fire alarms
- PARKING: Fire regulations
forbid the parking of cars on the driveways in front of
the hostels. Please note other parking restrictions around the
college.
- The College does not allow
visitors dogs on the premises
SCALE OF FEES
For Resident students: Including
bedroom, all meals, and tuition:
l Fees £148.80 l Deposit: at
least £75.00
For Non Resident Students:
Includes all lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions.
Occasional meals may be ordered. If so, please complete Part D of
the Application Form.
l Fees £37.00 l Deposit at least £37.00, plus about a
third of any meals you order.
